Inventory management — common questions

Is Arth Saathi inventory available today?

Not yet — it’s currently in design. We didn’t want to ship a fake inventory module just to ‘have’ the feature. Join the waitlist below and we’ll email you the day it’s live for early access.

What kind of inventory will it support?

First release is built for small retail: kirana stores, general stores, medical shops, stationers — anywhere with a few hundred SKUs and an owner who needs simple stock tracking, not enterprise-grade WMS.

Will it work without a barcode scanner?

Yes. Camera-based barcode capture will be supported on Android, but the workflow is designed for a manual-entry shop too — pick the item by name, adjust quantity, done.

Is it free? Will it work with the rest of Arth Saathi?

Pricing isn’t locked yet. Inventory will be plan-gated like other features (basic free, advanced on paid tiers). It will share employees, khata, and salary context with the rest of Arth Saathi.

What if I need inventory software today?

Be honest with yourself about scale. If you have under 200 SKUs and just need ‘know what’s in stock, get a low-stock alert’, wait for us. If you have thousands of SKUs and need formal GST invoicing, look at established tools like Vyapar or myBillBook today.

Will it include GST invoicing?

GST invoicing is a separate roadmap — see /gst-billing. The inventory module will handle stock and prices; GST-compliant invoices are a parallel build.
