Payroll software — common questions

Is the payroll software free?

Yes. Full payroll — including PDF slips and WhatsApp delivery — is free for businesses with up to 10 employees. Paid plans start at ₹500/month. New customers currently get all paid features free during our growth phase.

How does salary calculation work for daily-wage staff?

Per-day rate = monthly salary ÷ working days. Days present × per-day rate = base salary. Half-days at 0.5×. Bonuses are added; advances and deductions are subtracted. Net payable is your final number.

Can I set different working-days policies for different shops?

Yes — working days, leave policy, and pay-cycle start day are all set per business. If you run multiple shops, each can have its own settings.

Does it handle GST, TDS, PF, ESI?

Right now, no — Arth Saathi is for cash-and-bank-transfer payroll in Indian SMBs without statutory deductions. PF/ESI is on the roadmap. If you need formal statutory payroll today, this is not the right tool.

What about UPI salary disbursement?

UPI salary disbursement is included on the Growth and Scale plans. You can also export pay-list as CSV and use your bank’s bulk-transfer flow.

Can my employees see their own salary?

Yes — that’s the whole point of the employee self-service portal. Your staff sees their salary, days worked, advances and bonuses on their own phone. Disputes drop to near zero.

Where is the data stored?

On Indian servers, encrypted in transit and at rest, isolated per business. You can export your data anytime.
